In the vicinity of his Slime Season 3 release (and I say vicinity because he’s been teasing the release for days now), Young Thug appears in the latest issue of GQ magazine.
Although the journalist barely gets a cohesive interview from the rapper, it’s his description of the Thug’s life and aura that captivates. The drugs, his background, his gambling, his dispostion….. all entertaining.
Check out the excerpts:
On where he seems himself in ten years.
“Shit. Top of the world. You know where. Where everybody want to be.”
On if it’s dangerous to be Young Thug.
“It’s dangerous to be anybody popular.” True. But come on, I said. Some people are in more danger than others. Why is it that way for you? Do people want to prove something with you?
“Oh, people want to prove a point,” he said. “I don’t know what the hell they be thinking. I don’t understand why everybody be jooging at me.”
On how he wants his wedding to be.
“Heaven Gates.” Okay. How many people? “A million,” he said. “I want everyone to see it.” And who’d play the music? “Bob Marley and Kanye West.” And the food? “Soul food. My mom would cook, of course. She cook everything. Neck bone. She like real, real, like, motherfuckin’ black-people food. Like oxtail and shit. All kinda crazy shit.”
