Taylor Swift Responds To Kanye West Lyrics at Grammys

Taylor-Swift-Kanye-WestOh, you thought they were finished? Nope. The Taylor Swift, Kanye West saga continues.

As Taylor Swift gave her acceptance speech for Album of the Year at the 2016 Grammy Awards, she also delivered a few scathing words aimed at Kanye West.

As the first woman to win album of the year twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or you fame.

But if you just focus on the work, and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.

The comments appear to be a direct response to Kanye West, who rapped the line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous” on a song off his new album The Life of Pablo.

However, Kanye maintained on Twitter that the line was not meant to be a diss and that Taylor was aware of the lines – something that has been denied in a official statement from a spokesperson in Swift’s camp.
