Today (Feb 12) Drake will be rewarded for his civic engagement in Toronto with a key to the city.
Toronto’s mayor John Tory announced the news Thursday (Feb. 11) on Twitter, penning a sort of essay on the 140-character platform. In it, he said, “Toronto must tell its stories. We must celebrate our talent & harness it for change. This isn’t swagger. It is key.”
Drake’s not the only one seeing some praise from local leaders in his hometown. This weekend Kendrick Lamar will be receiving a key to the city of Compton.
