Kanye West announced during his Yeezy Season 3 show on Thursday (February 11) that he plans to launch a video game featuring his late mother, Donda West.
In the video game, Donda is seen ascending into heaven while riding on a pegasus to the tune of West’s song “Only One.” The video game is titled “Only One: The Game.”
“I worked on a video game and I wanted to show y’all,” the rapper, 38, told the crowd at Madison Square Garden while debuting his latest collection and new album, The Life of Pablo. “The idea of the game is, my mom traveling through the gates of heaven.”
Donda died in November 2007 at the age of 58 after suffering complications from plastic surgery.
“That’s not easy to do, man!” West said after debuting the clip, seemingly referring to his surprise new effort. “Y’all just be acting like that s–t is regular. … You don’t understand, I go out and meet with everybody in San Fran, and they diss the f—k out of me … that was hard to do, bro. This s—t was hard to do, man.”
A release date was not announced.
