The two sparred on social media after Wiz questioned West’s decision to change his album title from SWISH to WAVES. Wiz – among others – found it disrespectful to incarcerated emcee Max B who is seen as the creator of the Wavement.
After a series of exchanges, Wiz responded and attempted to end his part in the discussion with “hit this KK and become yourself.” As most weed smokers are aware, KK refers to weed. Unfortunately, Ye believed it was a reference to his wife – Kim Kardashian – and the gloves were off.
“Oh niggas must think I’m not petty cause I’m the best that’s ever made music,” Ye started. “Like, oh that’s Ye and I can put his wife’s initials on my twitter @Wizkhalifa.”
From there, Ye wrote a list of 17 reasons that Khalifa should not have questioned him.
The insults included references to Wiz’s ex-wife Amber Rose as well as his son. Even a TMZ correspondent asked Ye whether “he went a little bit hard on Wiz this morning.”
“I said what I had to say,” Yeezy replied. “I said what I had to say. I ain’t saying nothing else. I told you I said all I had to say. Don’t ask me no more questions about it.”
