If you’re struggling about what to get your girlfriend or homegirl this holiday season, Mimi and RiRi may have the solution. Both ladies have just announced a holiday makeup collection.
Mariah Carey just released a holiday nail polish collection with OPI that contains 18 different polishes! To no surprise, the collection is heavy on red— ‘tis the season – but there are whites, blues, and grays included. Donned with holiday-centric names, including “In My Santa Suit,” “Ski Slope Sweetie,” and “Underneath the Mistletoe” the polish is sure to put you in the holiday mood.
The 18 colors are broken into 3 categories: cream, glitter, and a Mariah special: liquid sand. Liquid sand “dries to a textured matte finish infused with reflective glints of light.”
Right on Mimi’s heels, Rihanna just announced on Instagram that she’s releasing a holiday collection with her steady partner – MAC!
Rihanna’s final collection with M·A·C features the return of RiRi Woo, along with two new Lipsticks: Pleasure Bomb and Bad Girl RiRi. New items include Nail Lacquer, Superslick Liquid Eye Liner, Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow, Bronzing Powder and the double-ended 217 Blending Brush and the 239 Eye Shader Brush. The limited-edition collection is encased in exclusive white-pearl packaging with RiRi’s rose-gold detailing.
The collection will be out globally in December and according to RiRi you should be ready to buy:

I cannot wait for Rihanna’s MAC collection, but I definitely will never buy another Liquid Sand shade again. I can’t remember the last time I was so disappointed in a nail polish I returned it 🙁

Oh no… returning nail polish. That had to be bad. I haven’t checked out Ri’s line yet, but it looks awesome on her and it’s selling like hot cakes. She’s been a good MAC rep because she actually wears the items she endorses.
Yeah, Liquid Sand looks REALLY pretty in the bottle and like a stripper threw up on your nails (and not in a good way). They aren’t true to the color in the bottle and that cute glitter and texture you see in the picture doesn’t come out on your nail at all. It looks like you used some 99 cent bonne bell from 1999. Totally agree about RiRi being an awesome rep for MAC. So is Nicki Minaj and I loved her line too!
