No so merry news for Hammer this holiday season.
On December 17, the appeals court ruled that MC Hammer owes the IRS $800,000 from a case that stems back to 2013 and includes unpaid taxes from as far back as 1996.
In 2013 he appealed the ruling stating the amount to be paid was unfair.
However, the recent court’s ruling stated that the IRS committed no wrongdoing when they asked Hammer for the $800k two years ago, nor does their decision do any injustice to him.
