Kimye is in the giving spirit. Kim Kardashian revealed that she and Kanye West will be donating 1,000 pairs of shoes to the charity Soles4Souls.
On Thursday (Dec. 10), Kim tweeted while watching the show Dish Nation, where the story of 17-year-old Kansas teen, Amelia Flores, touched her heart.
“I’m up breastfeeding & watching this show Dish Nation,” she shared on her timeline. “I heard the cutest story of a girl who is trying to find 1,000 pairs of shoes to donate to this charity [Soles4Souls]! They helped her during Hurricane Katrina.”
She then joked, “I think I know the designer of Shoe of the Year Award!,” referring to Ye.
Dish Nation reports that the publicity from Kim’s tweet has already helped Flores receive 1,000 pairs of shoes via other donations. The West family’s offering will help Flores reach her goal of 2,000 pairs. Flores took to Twitter earlier today, saying, “Yay I did something!!”
