The Yeezy Boost 750 high-top and Yeezy Boost 350 low-cut were in high-demand in 2015, becoming an instant hit and talk in fashion and pop culture.
Dressed in all-black, Kanye delivered another colorful speech while accepting his award. “If you don’t like profanity-laden speeches that end in a Presidential bid, I suggest you go to the bathroom now,” a smiling West said at the podium.
“I care about product. I’m dead serious for what I create as an artist in this lifetime,” he said. “It’s a spark that I want to bring joy. And just like when my daughter is singing and jumping around—she might not be finishing her sentences perfectly, but she’s brining so much joy. And I know that she’s going to grow up and be amazing. So you can see a spark in the pieces I do so that one day they can’t grow up and be amazing.”
“So well deserved! Congrats babe on winning Shoe of the Year Award! I see how hard u work & how meaningful this is!,” tweeted Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West, who wasn’t present at the event.
My two-cents: Hmmm…. Yeezy … shoe of the year … that’s an interesting choice.
