Details for Rihanna’s second annual Diamond Ball fundraiser has been announced.
The event will boast two major talents when the black-tie fundraiser hits Santa Monica on Dec. 10. Lionel Richie will perform and Kevin Hart will host this year’s Diamond Ball, which raises money for Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation. Founded in 2012, the CLF is named in honor of her grandparents and “works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture.”
“I’m so proud of the work the Clara Lionel Foundation has done in its first year and can’t wait to celebrate with the iconic Lionel Richie and incredibly talented Kevin Hart at this year’s Diamond Ball,” Rihanna said in a statement.
The night will also see Live Nation CEO Michael Rapinogiven the inaugural Diamond Honors Award for the entertainment company’s philanthropic efforts.
“This foundation is close to my heart and I am so grateful for Michael Rapino’s support and commitment to our cause,” Rihanna said in a statement. “No one is more deserving of the first Diamond Honors Award than him.”
With Jimmy Kimmel serving as host and Rihanna performing, last year’s Diamond Ball raised more than $2 million to provide equipment to a hospital in Rih’s native Barbados.
