Forbes Reveals Listing of Highest-Paid Women In Music for 2015

KatyYou might think its Taylor Swift—but, in fact, it’s her frequent competitor, Katy Perry. Largely because of her Prismatic World Tour, which is now winding down, Perry pulled in $135 million this year. She grossed more than $2 million per city over the course of 126 shows in our scoring period, and added to her total through deals with Coty, Claire’s and Covergirl.

“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” Perry told FORBES for their Celebrity 100 cover story this past summer. “I’m an entrepreneur. … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”

Taylor of course had a good year claiming the No. 2 spot with $80 million.

Suprisingly (to me anyway) Fleetwood Mac claimed the third spot, with Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie posting high numbers in the coed quintet. Their $59.5 million total, with over $1 million per city for their On With The Show tour, put them at No. 3.

Lada Gaga and Beyonce rounded out the top five with $59 million and $54.5 million, respectively. Gaga played 66 shows and also cashed in from deals with Versace and MAC while Beyonce’s On the Run tour with husband Jay Z grossed over $100 million in 19 dates. The rest of the top 10 includes Britney Spears ($31 million), Jennifer Lopez ($28.5 million), Miranda Lambert ($28.5 million), Mariah Carey ($27 million) and Rihanna ($26 million).
