Doesn’t look like the rift between Lil Wayne and Cash Money is going away any time soon. According to published reports, Lil Wayne has made new claims against Birdman & Co.
According to TMZ, new details have emerged in the proceedings. Wayne now claims that he has letters from Drake and Tyga’s reps that they were missing funds. The site also reports that Weezy obtained a separate written complaint from Nicki Minaj’s producers, who also say they were shortened on due fees. Consequently, Wayne is moving to hold Birdman responsible for these payments.
It’s been no secret that lawsuits have been thrown around for the duration of Wayne and Birdman’s fallout. Both parties have been sued by producers who worked on Tha Carter albums; DVLP slapped the Birdman with a whopping $200,000 suit and David Banner is reportedly suing Wayne for over $154,000. Additionally, Young Money alleges that they did not receive its fair share of a $100 million advance from Universal Records. Cash Money, on the other hand, says it paid Young Money over $100 million in advances, and that Wayne never met his 21 albums in 7 years.
Tyga has openly aired out his issues with Young Money while Drake and Nicki Minaj have been relatively quiet regarding the legal issues between Lil Wayne and Birdman.
