DMX was released from prison Friday (Sept 25), just two months into his six-month sentence for failing to pay $400,000 child support.
According to X, he was never told he owed any money which led him to fight the original conviction.
Fox News reported DMX was freed after he filed a motion to stay the rest of his sentence until things were worked out, which a judge granted.
X will return to court in November, where a judge will decide whether he knew bout the hefty amount of child support he owed.
If the judge rules that he knew about it, X will return to prison to finish the final four months of his sentence.
