It’s not looking good for Future.
According to new reports, just days before Drake’s “Would You LIke a Tour?,” he wanted Future removed from the bill.
Of course Future and his reps were quick to call it a “missquote” that was taken out of context and it was deleted from the story.
However, Drake was as forgiving. I can’t imagine that Drake was this aggressive, but Page Six reports that Drake “told his agent either Future gets fired, or he’ll fire him.” Drake was reportedly already skeptical of Future from 2012 after failing to show up at the shoot for the auto-tuned MC’s “Tony Montana” video.
With that, Future was let go from the tour. Then negotiations started to bring him back late last week. But over the weekend, Future pulled out for good after Drake’s camp demanded he make financial concessions. Future, who was set to earn about $40,000 per gig, is set to file a lawsuit this week against Drake for lost wages, or about $1.5 million.
The rappers’ beef is the latest drama in Drake’s tour. Last month, about a dozen dates were pushed back and rescheduled due to “an intense rehearsal schedule and technical production requirements that will be part of the show,” according to a press release.
