Lil B is here to show everyone he’s more than just a rapper. He has accepted the Delaware 87ers tryout invitation.
The team – which happens to be the 76ers’ D-League team – hopped on Twitter to invite the emcee to their September tryouts. “Yo, Lil B, You are cordially invited to the Delaware 87ers open try out..” It only took B a couple of hours to respond to the message and accept the invitation. The event goes down in a few weeks on Sept. 19 in New Castle, De. Read the Twitter exchange below.
This will be the second time B tried his hand in professional basketball. Nearly three years ago, he tried out for the to the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Golden State Warriors D-League affiliate. Unfortunately, he didn’t make the cut, but he may have better luck this time around.
Keeping his ties to basketball ever fresh, you may recall during this past NBA playoff B was all over sports media when he placed a curse on Houston Rockets’ star guard James Harden for failing to give credit for his flick of the wrist.
