Despite the reporting pending lawsuit from Cash Money against Tidal, the streaming service will air the entire “Lil Weezyana Fest.”
Cash Money filed the $50 million lawsuit against Tidal when they hosting Wayne’s Free Weezy Album, maintaining they had exclusive rights to Wayne’s music.
Unphased Tidal is still moving forward with promoting Wayne. The first annual “Lil Weezyana Fest” takes place August 28th in New Orleans. The concert, which will also feature a reunion from The Hot Boys, is set to raise money to benefit victims from Hurricane Katrina, which hit New Orleans 10 years ago.
Tidal has carved out a nice niché in the streaming game with their live-streamed concerts, and have already pulled off successful shows with Jay’s “B Sides” concert, Jeezy’s TM101 Anniversary show, and more.
