Beyonce will appear on the coveted September issue of Vogue.
If you’re unfamiliar with the power of the September issue, it’s the stuff of legend — heck, there was even a whole documentary about it. Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour usually saves it for the most influential celeb at the moment, and this year she’s chosen Beyonce.
The cover features the 33-year-old mega-star sporting wet, wavy hair and models a lavender embroidered dress with floral appliqués. She also holds an embellished purple jacket, casually draped over her shoulder.
This is Beyoncé’s third Vogue cover. Beyoncé previously covered the magazine’s March 2013 and April 2009 issues. And in a history-making move, she’s also just the third black woman EVER to land the September issue cover (the others being model Naomi Campbell and actress Halle Berry).
