Drake’s “IYRTITL” Mixtape Becomes First Million Selling Release in 2015

Congrats are in order for Drizzy. His If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late has become the first album released in 2015 to sell a million copies in the U.S.

The album was released on Feb. 12 through Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is the second album to sell a million copies in 2015, after Taylor Swift’s 1989 (which was released in 2014).

If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is Drake’s fourth million-selling album, following Nothing Was the Same (released in 2013; 1.72 million), Take Care (2011; 2.26 million) and Thank Me Later (2010; 1.8 million).
