Bobbi Kristina Brown was laid to rest Saturday (Aug. 1), but her services were briefly marred by tensions between the Houston and Brown families.
Leolah Brown, the sister of Bobby Brown, reportedly yelled out “Pat you know you are wrong for this” during the service. To cool down the tension she was very briefly asked to leave. Outside she spoke to reporters and explained she was angry because Pat Houston was speaking at the funeral. Pat Houston is the sister-in-law and former manager for the late Whitney Houston.
“This has only just begun,” she said. “We are on to Pat and she will be found out. She is a Garland not a Houston. Whitney will rise from her grave to haunt her.”
Afterwards, she returned to the church.
Earlier this week (July 19), Leolah took to her Facebook page to accuse Pat of attempting to monetize off of Bobbi Kristina’s death by requesting donations to her foundation. She wrote a message urging her followers not to send money:
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ONE RED CENT! As she has not even sat down & spoken to my brother Bobby, who is Bobbi Kristina’s father, about this. This is part of the proof that her intentions are very ill. This is nothing more than another scheme of Pat Houston, to try to get money put into her account for her personal gain. There is much evil hidden behind this foundation.
Bobbi Kristina died in hospice care July 26, about six months after she was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her suburban Atlanta townhome. Sadly, Bobbi Kristina’s death was grimly similar to the way her mother had died three years earlier.
Nick Gordon, whom Houston had raised as her own, was also at the home at the time of the incident. A police report earlier this year described the incident as a drowning, and authorities are investigating her death.
