David Banner his hit Lil Wayne with a lawsuit over unpaid royalties.
According to TMZ, the owed money relates to two songs produced on his Tha Carter III album, “La La” and “P***y Monster.” After a contract signed in 2008, Banner claims he was never paid. He also alleges that he was informed by Wayne’s Young Money label that he was due a grand total of $138,787.19, the site reports. Banner is also suing for royalties on a track from the We Are Young Money album, “Streets Is Watchin,” for which he alleges he is owed $15,392.57.
It is not far stretch to consider that Wayne’s reportedly unpaid royalties may stem from his issues with Cash Money Records Birdman. His current suit against Cash Money alleges that the label violated his deal and owes him tens of millions of dollars for delaying the release of Tha Carter V.
