Funkmaster Flex Pursues Meek Mill’s Allegations Surrounding Drake

Funk-FlexMeek Mill’s Twitter rant on Tuesday (July 21) aimed at Drake, has been the talk of the Hip-hop community since it hit the net.

One of the main allegations from Meek’s comments was that Drake doesn’t write his own raps, specifically his verse on “R.I.C.O.” which appeared on his album Dreams Worth More Than Money. And before long the name Quentin Miller soon came to light, an Atlanta artist who is credited on various songs off Drake’s If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late.

Welp, on Wednesday (July 22) night during his HOT 97 mixshow, Flex decided to insert himself into the storyline, by playing Quentin Miller’s “10 Bands” reference track given to Drake. Supposedly Quentin Miller was getting paid $5000 a month from Drake’s OVO Sound label, and it was someone from the October’s Very Own collective who sent Flex the full reference track that’s similar to the final version.

My two-cents: I didn’t agree with the way Meek handled things, but I think he’s a real dude and if he’s sticking to the story that Drizzy didn’t write “R.I.C.O.” then I kinda believe him. He has a reason for saying that.
