Who said Tidal has never done anything for you? Hov’s company will offer a family plan with discounted prices, following the steps of Apple Music who introduced their family plan during Apple’s introductory conference last month.
Billboard reports that Tidal is offering a 50-percent discount when subscribers add up to four additional users to the same account. That comes out to a $30 for a family of five using the premium service that normally costs $10 each member per month. The initial user must pay the standard $10 a month but each additional person pays $5. There is also a family discount available for subscribers of Tidal’s high-definition audio service. The discount comes as an obvious reaction to Apple Music’s family plan pricing. However, Apple’s deal is a little sweeter. A single person pays $9.99 per month for Apple Music, however their family plan allows six people to be users for a total of $14.99. That’s half the price of Tidal—$2.50 user for six users—with one more user under the plan.
The music streaming wars continue.
