So word is that VICE may be in talks with Kanye West to develop an original series.
Yeezy is reportedly considering a docu-series called “The Imperfect Life of Kanye West,” according to Capital New York. The series would appear on the launch of a VICE TV station in late 2015 or the following year. With director Spike Jonze at the helm, the show is said to use both documentary footage and animation to bring viewers “inside” the mind of ’Ye.
This wouldn’t be their first project together; Jonze directed the music videos for “Flashing Lights,” “Otis,” and “Only One” for Kanye.
A spokesperson for Vice denied the report, though did acknowledge the working relationship between the two.
“There is no show, no concept, no definitive title or format,” they said. “Spike and Kanye are long time collaborators and continue to work together on a variety of projects.”
The New York Times also reported this week that Vice is in talks with Kanye about a new show.
