While Jay Z is trying to make an impact in the streaming industry, Snoop Dogg is focusing an industry that’s he has years of experience in.
According to published reports, Snoop’s Casa Verde Capital firm is one of several investors in a new weed delivery service named Eaze.
Described as the “Uber for weed,” Eaze promises to deliver medical marijuana to your doorstep in less than 15 minutes. Founded by former Yammer employee Keith McCarty, the service has already made 30,000 deliveries in the Bay Area and looks to expand into other areas of California, as well as states like Colorado, Washington and Oregon, where recreational marijuana is now legal.
Despite obvious reservations from some institutional investors, Eaze recently received $10 million in backing, on top of its initial $1.5 million of seed funding.
